SmartrSurvey, A Surveyors Perspective

There is a huge difference between a mortgage survey (often called a report on valuation) and a SmartrSurvey. The first is on behalf of the lender to check the value of your new home and the latter to check its condition on your behalf.

As the name implies, a SmartrSurvey does the already excellent job of the RICS HomeBuyers report, but does it in a more dynamic (smarter) way. The main difference is that it is a visual report where each detail comes with an accompanying image to support the Surveyors comments. The report is available online and allows you to focus on the areas that are of most interest.
